Dear Families,

Christmas is quickly approaching, and it’s hard to believe we are already in the middle of the third week of this beautiful season of Advent. We hope all of you have remained free of the Flu, Covid, and RSV. Thanks be to God for the present we have remained free of these viruses.

I wanted to share with you that we have recently welcomed two new Sisters to our Home. Sr. Sharon oversees the fourth floor and Sr. Joseph who is an RN will be our new collecting Sister, and will also render some nursing services in the home. We are grateful to God for both of them. Sr. Sharon will now take calls concerning the 4th floor Residents.

To keep you informed, we want to let you know we had our annual Federal & State survey in November. One of the things we were cited for was a lack of a family council. This letter serves to inform you that we would like to start a family council in the New Year. In January we will be sending out more detailed information regarding what the role of the family council is. We would probably meet quarterly and if this interests you and you would like to be part of this, please let me know.

Just a friendly reminder in order to keep everyone healthy especially during this wonderful season, please don’t visit your loved ones if you are sick or symptomatic of any of the viruses. In our facility we ask that you wear a mask, sign in on the kiosk and answer all questions. During your visitation please leave your mask on unless you are eating. At the present moment we are not using Sign-Up Genius, but if you are taking your loved one out of the facility please continue to call the Sisters as you have been doing. If your loved is staying out overnight and needs medications prepared, please give a few days of notice; we appreciate your cooperation.

For visiting in the Home, we ask that you use the foyer rather than the dining room or the atrium. This helps us to make sure the areas are sanitized on a regular basis. Again, we appreciate your cooperation.

Once again, thank you for all you continue to do to help keep everyone healthy. We wish you all a very Blessed Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

May God Bless You!

Mother Theresa, lsp
