Dear Families & Friends,

I hope you have enjoyed the beautiful weather we have had this past week. Today, autumn has re-visited us, but it was so wonderful to have some rain since we need it so badly. Next Sunday we will have a special Memorial Mass for all of the Residents who have died during this past year. Unfortunately, we still cannot invite guests from the outside for this Mass. We unite with all of you in thought and prayer for our dear Residents who have gone to be with the Lord.

Unfortunately, one Resident and one staff member have tested positive with Covid this past week. With the arrival of the colder weather, Covid viruses, flu and the common cold we implore you to please remind your loved ones to wear a mask when they go out in public.

We are looking forward to having our bivalent booster vaccine during the week of November 14. CVS pharmacy will be out to administer it.

Sr. Cecelia is now settled in Gallup, New Mexico and sends her fond best wishes to everyone. Sr. Charles Patricia, RN arrived recently and is learning the routine and will be able to take calls regarding the second floor Residents. Sr. Stephen will take calls for the 3rd floor Residents and I will be taking calls for the 4th floor Residents until we welcome Sr. Sharon who will be coming the week of November 14.

Kathleen Halverson our Director of Nursing had been on medical leave for a couple months to take care of family members. This involved more than she anticipated so she had to resign her position. We now have an active search for a Director of Nursing, please keep this very important intention in your prayers.

On November 12, we will once again have a meat drive, please see attached flyer. We thank you in advance for your participation and support.
