In the fall of 2012 we were made aware of an opportunity to do our Eagle Project at Little Sisters. Mother Theresa indicated that the Garden area viewed from the dinning area could use a fresh look as it is an area that gets constant viewing. Over the next few months we met with Gerten’s and Baileys Nursery to put plans in place to beautify the space. The decision was made to redo the hard scape in the area, identify and provide a “water” option, bench, new lighting and new plantings. Spring lasted a little longer than we all had expected, but finally in June, we were able to work on the space over a period of two weekends. We are grateful to the numerous volunteers who assisted us with our project, the special pricing and design ideas provided by Gerten’s, the plantings and design assistance provided by Bailey Nurseries, financial assistance towards supplies provided by Home Depot (Woodbury) and donation of the Bench by Mary & Dwain Kasel (Tim’s Grandparents). We hope that many will enjoy the new garden area and we are grateful to the Little Sisters for allowing us to do our Eagle Scout project at Holy Family Residence
