Ahoy, Buckos! Shiver me timbers. We surely had fair winds and a jolly good time whilst we gathered me hearties to test their skill on the fair seas. Me mates spliced the mainbrace, shared some grub and an occasional shanty before trying to snare the swag to display in our bunks.
In other words, our resident men and their guests gathered for a fun day of cork-boat racing, competing for a trophy and some bragging rights. Each team designed and created their sails before using straws to maneuver their craft. Our winners were: 1stplace Fr Anton Lachner, 2nd place Jerry Connolly, 3rd place George Welp. Refreshments were served and a good time was had by all.
