Good Bye 2018, Hello 2019!
The New Year’s Eve party started at 7 p.m. which, to our Residents, felt like it was already 10 p.m. The live band began and played a variety of music from Polkas to Waltzes, Country to Top 50’s. The dance floor was full of Residents, staff, and volunteers the entire night. The auditorium was festive with decorations, while delicious appetizers and beverages were served to attendees.
By 9 p.m. our clock struck midnight and our Old Year Marie Zech approached the stage, while our New Year Victoria Carter arrived in her Father’s arms. The poppers were popped and the streamers went flying while Auld Lang Syne played loud and proud. “The Party’s a hit,” the Residents sang as they danced down the hall and the noisemakers rang.
