On Thursday, April 7 a group of Residents, staff, volunteers, Little Sisters and AJJ members were blessed with the opportunity to make a pilgrimage. We took a lovely coach bus to visit St. Maron’s Maronite Church, in North Minneapolis. The Church was beautiful with ornate statues, decorations and pictures.
ChorBishop Scharbel welcomed our group and explained about the Maronite Rite. We experienced a beautiful holy hour, led by the Deacon and recited the Divine Mercy Chaplet. The pilgrimage was truly a grace filled opportunity presented to us in this Year of Mercy.
On the return trip we drove around the former Little Sisters of the Poor home in North Minneapolis. All were excited to see this building and hear some stories about the history of the congregation in the Twin Cities.
