Veterans Day Mass

  • November 21, 2018
Veterans Day Mass

We held a moving Veterans Day Mass here at Little Sisters of the Poor. Four members of Cretin High School’s Color Guard attended, passing out flags and Red, White, and Blue Rosaries to the Residents as they entered the Chapel. In a solemn procession, the Color Guard carried the Flag to the front of the Chapel, and the Captain of the Guard read a Patriotic prayer.

One of our Residents had a brother who fought in the Korean War. His remains were recently identified and returned to the family. The Resident graciously allowed us to display his flag in the Chapel during the Mass. The Captain of the Color Guard processed out with the flag followed by Father Schu. Sister Michael Anthony accompanied the Mass with Patriotic music.
